About the ownerH. Frank Rupp, Jr.
I was born and raised in the small town of Sellersville in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a result of the support from my friends and family, and the excellent art program of the Pennridge School District, I started my career in art very early. At age 5, I won my first art contest conducted by The Intelligencer with a color-pencil drawing of our family's pet parakeet.
While attending Pennridge High School, I was accepted into advanced-placement classes that exposed me to: life drawing, sculpturing, painting, pottery, silk-screening and the beginnings of computer-aided graphic design. During freshman year, I won a logo design contest for an indoor mountain climbing facility in Doylestown. My art teachers saw my interest in Graphic Design and motivated me to focus my artistic talents towards a career in commercial art.
My high school art teachers, both graduates of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, suggest I apply to their Communication Design program after graduation. I was fortunately accepted and it was there that I was taught fine art techniques, the fundamentals of hand-drawn graphic design, elements of typography, illustration, print methods, photography, advertising concepts, interactive/Web technologies and gained experience using professional graphic design software.
As a college student, I worked at local print and design companies and held the titles of Graphic Designer, Web Designer and eventually Print Department Manager.
![]() On a personal note, it was while attending Kutztown University that I met my wife Susan. Soon after our graduating from our respective colleges, Susan received a job offer for a position in Human Resources from a company in Arizona. Excited by the opportunity, we moved to the city of Tempe (near Phoenix). While living in Arizona, I worked as a Graphic Designer for companies that included: Standard Register, PetSmart HQ and Medicis Pharmaceutical in Scottsdale. For my work with Medicis, I received awards from Graphic Design USA Magazine for Inhouse Design (2009 and 2010).
In 2009, we learned we were expecting our first baby. Prior to his arrival, we decided to move to West Chester, Pennsylvania to live closer to family. During that time I worked as a Graphic Designer and Print Coordinator at local print and design companies in Chester County. My wife and I now have two sons, ages 3 and 5.
